Why has TwistedPolygon been offline for almost an week?
Our former host (dalir.net) decided to go offline (probably off business) with no warning at all! They decided to do this on last Sunday which happened to be the day that I pay for the following month hosting services. If they ever come back online do not subscrive their services! Initially I though this was a regular downtime and didn't worry about it, besides I didn't have the time to - I had a college exam the following day. It's Monday the site is still offline. Thursday -No downtime lasts that long. On Wednesday I cancelled the subscription to dalir networks services and made a claim on paypal, contracted a new hosting company (BigBlueHost.com) and started setting things up. Unfortunately the database backup we were trying to install was full of syntax errors :( After a whole day of desperation I contacted the support services of BigBlueHost and day took the time to install a 90Mb database with syntax errors on the server, and resolve other side issues. They have a great support service! I belive what we pay them every month doesn't pay for the great service they provide. This sounds like publicity, but I can't go without recommending them to anyone who needs a host. After the database was up it was my turn to make things work. There were lots of wrong paths and stuff. The walkthroughs and faqs weren't backup. I had to download them all and upload them again. The forum was a mess, and there were other smaller issues around the place. If you happen to find anything that doesn't work, email it to us, or just post it on the forum .
