Complete all three mazes -- forest, castle and dungeon -- and the game starts over at a faster speed. Continue playing, increasing your score, until all of your knight's lives are lost. ============================================================================== Starting the game ============================================================================== First you start out by choosing the number of players which is 1 or 2 then press the fire button to begin ============================================================================== Controls (based on PS2 or Xbox) ============================================================================== D-pad: moves knight (touch the edges if you have a Intellivision itself). Fire button 1: activates items Start button: pause ============================================================================== Items ============================================================================== Comb: Don't touch it unless you have to in order to evade an enemy. They reduce your points by half. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! Candle: These are 1-ups Coins: stacked like pool balls. worth 500 points Grail: This makes your knight flash (power up). Necklace: Speeds up your knight Lantern: More energy Key: Allows knight to pass through obstructions Ring: Teleport to a random spot in the maze Crown: Makes the enemies freeze Energizers: These are the bats in the forest, rat in the castle, and skulls in the dungeon ============================================================================== Enemies ============================================================================== Dragon: You only face one dragon at a time. They come out of the castle so if you are still flashing with lot of time to spare. Stand at the entrance and they'll die on entry. Wizard: You face two wizards at a time. There are six wizards to face in all. Demon: You face three wizards at a time. There are nine wizards to face in all. ============================================================================== Basic Tips ============================================================================== Each enemy comes in three colors. Green which is real slow, golden which is a little bit faster, and red is the fastest. Scores are as follows. 300 points for slaying a green enemy, 400 for a golden one and 500 for a red one. Extra Lives are given per candlestick or collecting 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000 and 100,000 points. There are times when the energizers seem to try to avoid you. Actually, just the rat in the castle. When you do reach it, the enemies are way off. We suggest getting a grail and wait for an enemy to get nearby then activate it and they'll die when they touch you because they don't have time to flee the surprise attack. There are three levels: forest, castle, and dungeoun. Beat the dungeon and the game gets harder as you start over. For one, the energizers in the castle (bats) are invisible almost. They are black and blending into the background. Using an energizer in conjuction with the crown gives you a chance to slay an enemy. Be careful not to get trapped by the vines and blocks because you are in deep doo doo if an enemy nears unless you activate a key to pass through it. Items appear on the screen one at a time. You only have a few seconds to reach them before they disappear. There is no end to this game so just keep on playing the game till you lose all lives.
