One of the main obscurities of the game was moving the joystick in a certain motion to unleash more powerful moves. The game was later ported to the Turbo-Grafx 16 as Fighting Street. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Story ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ryu and Ken are two students who enter the Street Fighter Tournament to hone their skills that they have learned from their master. Standing in-between them and the prize of being the number one street fighter are ten tough opponents. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Basic Moves ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are six buttons: Punches - Jab, Strong, and Fierce Kicks - Short, Forward, Roundhouse Arranged like this in the arcade version and varies for the TG16 u ub uf b f Jab Strong Fierce db df Short Forward Roundhouse d u = up uf = up-forward f = forward df = down-forward d = down db = down-back b = back ub = up-back Jab Punches and Short Kicks is a light attacks and do small damage Strong Punches and Forward Kicks are medium attacks and do medium damage Firece Punches and Roundhouse Kicks are heavy attacks and do lots of damage ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Motion Moves ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hadouken: down, down-forward, forward + Punch Ryu or Ken throws a yellow ball at the enemy anit causes 40% damage Shoryuken: forward, down, down-forward + Punch Ryu or Ken leaps into the air with an uppercut that is unblockable and hit up to three times in one shot and defeat the opponent instantly Hurricane Kick: down, down-back, back + Kick Ryu or Ken lifts himself into the air and spins. He uses only basic attack moves. Geki - he is dressed in blue ninja garb and attacks with ninja stars that do a fai amount of damage. He is a boxer and he doesn't use any kicks at all but his punches are lethal enough. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ England +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Birdie - Big buff white thug with a blone mohawk. He has two attacks that can destroy you if you're not careful. The first one is a leaping headbutt and the other one is a Diving Double Smash. Eagle - Blond guy in a butler attire who carries two nightsticks in hand. His special attack is a top spin with nightsticks extended. He can also block fireballs without taking damage if he blocks right. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ China +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Lee - wears a blue chinese outfit and a hat to match. His most often used move is a small hop followed by a ducking punch. Gen - dons a purple Chinese outfit and has grey hair and a beard. He is said to be Lee's father. He uses basic attacks that are harmful +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thailand +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Adon - Fights using Muay Thai Kickboxing style. His most lethal attack is the Jaguar Kick which can destroy you in 4 attacks. Sagat - He is the final boss of the game. He has an eyepatch and purple shorts. Unlike the other bosses, he has a variety of attacks: Lunging Knee Attack, Tiger Shot, an unblockable low Short Kick. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bonus Stages ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After you defeat two opponents you go to a bonus stage Bonus Stage 1: Small plates Bonus Stage 2: 3 Boards Bonus Stage 3: Cement blocks Bonus Stage 4: 4 Boards ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Random Tidbits in the game ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can only play as Ryu or Ken. Ryu is the default character who represents player 1. Ken represents player 2 and the only way to play as Ken through the game itself is to play a two-player game and have Ken kick Ryu's ass and then you can continue on as Ken.
