You'll also recognize Flicky from Sonic the Hedgehog games like Sonic 3D Blast or the bluebirds you rescue in the other games. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Story/Objective ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your goal, as Flicky, is to avoid Tiger the cat and Iggy the lizzard as you guide your children aka the Chirps to safety which is labeled as the flat Flicky symbol on a surface. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Controls ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pause - pause/unpause the game 1 button - start game and jump 2 button - jump D-pad - move left or right ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Items ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not really items but there are objects in each level that you use to attack your foes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stuff you need to know ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tiger the Cat chases you around endlessly, walk to an object to grab it then jump to fire it at him. Iggy crawls along the surfaces including the background wall. When you reach level 3 and any four levels after that (7, 11, 15, etc.) you are going to play a bonus game to see how many Chirps you can catch as the Tigers launch them into the air. The Chirps fall in different patterns each bonus level. Though its nothing fancy or special, the Chirps in the game come in yellow and black colors. This is an early-console systems so of course the graphics are not going to be all that but graphics and gameplay are two different concepts. There is also bonus points for collecting the jewels left behind by the defeated Tigers and Iggys. When rescuing Chirps, the bonuses increase with the number of Chirps rescued in one sitting. You also get bonus points for rescuing all Chirps in the fastest time possible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quickshot Walkthrough (since the game seems neverending) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- F = Safe haven for chirps B = Black Chirps Y = Yellow Chirps X = Surface T = Object ========== Level 01 ========== Y XXXTXXXXFFFFXXTXXX B Y XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX B XXXTXXXXXXXXXXTXXX B XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Y XXXTXXXXXXXXXXTXXX B Y ========== Level 02 ========== Y Y B XXXXTXXXXXXXXXXXFFFFXXXXXXXXTXXXX B B XXXXXXXXXXXTXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXTXXXXXXXXXXX B Y XXXXTXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXTXXXX Y ========== Level 03 ========== BONUS ROUND: The Chirps fall in this pattern alternating from the left and the right for four waves. Y Y Y Y Y then Y Y Y Y Y ========== Level 04 ========== We'll skip the diagram. The chirps are lined up on both sides and the safe haven is dead in the middle. ========== Level 05 ========== This is level 1 with shorter surfaces which makes this a much easier level than level 1 ========== Level 06 ========== It's hell trying to diagram this one but we'll tell you that it's just two staircases with a wall blocking the second one. The sfae haven is at the top of the unblocked staircase. ========== Level 07 ========== The Chirps fly up/towards you then straight down and then down and away. From here on out it is only a matter of survival as the game just goes on and on and on. You'll meet Iggy the Lizard starting with level 8 and as the general notes state, he is a tricky little fellow.
