How do I submit news, cheats and reviews?
First off all you have to login. If you do not have an account please register, it is free and it will provide you with all the advantages of being a TwistedPolygon member.
When logged in, on your user menu (top right) there is a Submission option. Click it.
From here it is very straight forward, you just to put the data and click next (the next button is somewhat difficult to see, this is a layout issue and we'll get to it as soon we have the time).
b) Full Name. Your name/nick/whatever here.
c) Email. Your email address. Please make it a valid one so we can contact you.
d) Article Title. Make sure it describes the article. In case of cheat or review use the game name.
e) Intro Text. It should resume the article. Please use bold. In case of cheat, just write your cheat here. In case of review, do whatever fits you.
f) Main Text. Write your article here. Ignore in case of cheat. If it is a review do whatever you like.
(Next is really difficult to see on this one)

Step 3/4: Image Upload: Please select how many images (if any) you wish to upload, and add a caption if desired. Image 1 is for intro (better pass this one) and Image 2 for body. If you wish to submit more images please go to our screenshot section and submit them there (read further), and then place a link on your article.
-
Step 4/4: You're done. You can submit more news if you want to. Your news and reviews will be reviewed by our team and then posted if they are good enough. Reviews and cheats almost always get published.
How do I submit Walkthroughs and GameFaqs?
First you browse to our walkthrough or GameFaq section and click the submit new document link.
-
Step 1/3: Choose the upload method. This can be either Upload a file from your computer, or transfer a file from another server to this server. This last option is useful for larges files, just upload your file through ftp to your web page server and then just type the url. You can also use the GameFaqs document url if you've submitted there before. There is an option to link a file from another server to this server you should never use this option. We host all of our files and we are against hotlinking. This option is here only if you cannot upload the file through any other means. If you use this a File is Linked note will be mandatory on the description field. The admins will upload the file for you this way. When you've selected your option click next (really hard to see on firefox :( It looks like a white rectangle).
-
Step 2/3: Upload a file. You've seen this one counterless times before. Browse to the directory where your walkthrough is located or paste the url. If you have chosen the link a file from another server to this server option a File is Linked note will be mandatory on the description field.
-
Step 3/3: Here you must fill this form
-
Title: The game title goes here followed by Walkthrough, FAQ or Move List. If your game's title has a number, for instance Final Fantasy 12, it should be named "Final Fantasy XII Walkthrough/Faq" - This is to insure better search results.
-
Category: Choose your guide Category. Walkthroughs if it is an Walkthrough or GameFaqs if it is a FAQ or a Move List. Then choose the system in which the game runs. If for some reason the game system isn't listed, submit directly to the Walkthrough or GameFaqs section, and on the description field add a "Game system: game-system-name" note. We will create the proper category and move it there.
-
Description: It should just state "Game-Name-Here Walkthrough/Faq/Move List by your-name-here." The File is Linked and Game system notes should also be written in this field. If your game's title has a number in it, like Final Fantasy XII, in this case it should be Final Fantasy 12 and not Final Fantasy XII like on the Title field. - This is to insure better search results.
Please have in mind that you must own the copyrights for the files you are submitting. If for some reason you don't, you'll be held responsible for your acts and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
By submitting your guides you agree that TwistedPolygon.net has the right to distribute those guides for free, over the Internet to anyone who wants to access them. If you want to have a more restrictive user end license please contact us. We will see what we can do for you.
We sometimes do the submission work for the walkthrough/Faq writters. This is only done in some special cases where the works in question are top quality and represent major benefits for TwistedPolygon.net in therms of content.
If you don't own the copyrights and you think that there are some particular guides that should be submitted, you might want to be part of TwistedPolygon's submission Team ... There will be lot's of emailing involved.
